Joseph Sullivan, LAC / Psychotherapist

Joseph Sullivan, MAPC, received a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at Webster University, St. Louis, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at Webster University, Vienna, Austria. Joseph has nearly 30 years of experience working as a lay missionary in many parts of the world and speaks several foreign languages. Joseph has also completed a certificate of religious studies at the Claretianum in Rome, Italy.

His work concentrated on providing guidance to individuals wanting to improve their quality of life in all aspects of human condition whether from material, social or spiritual impoverishment. He has provided spiritual guidance and vocational direction to adolescents, young people, adults and families.

Joseph completed a one-year internship at Logos School in St. Louis and has worked with adolescents in crisis intervention, adolescent autism, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, Asperger's Syndrome, Bipolar Disorder, depression, low self-esteem, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, poor motivation and other challenges kids may face.

Joseph's concentration and training is focused on individual and group counseling for adolescents, but also has experience with people all ages and many cultures. His extensive international experience offers unique, multi-cultural counseling for those of other cultures and religions as well as offering a universal perspective in the Catholic tradition.

Joseph is currently working on accreditation in Reality Therapy and Choice Theory (CTRT).
