Roberta Zatkowsky, LAC / Psychotherapist

Roberta Zatkowsky (MS, MSC, LAC, NCC) is a Licensed Counselor who received her second Master's degree in Counseling after a 32-year career in corporate sales and marketing with AT&T, Cox Communications, and other Telecommunication and IT companies.

Roberta has experience in individual and group therapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Roberta did her internship working with adults suffering from sexual compulsivity and addiction. She also was a Mental Health provider at Black Family & Child Services in Phoenix where she coached, mentored, and utilized therapeutic techniques with youths, and their parents, suffering from behavioral problems such as aggression, anger, rebellion, poor academic performance, criminal problems, depression and anxiety at school and home.

Roberta has also been working at St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center and Aurora Behavioral Health Psychiatric Hospital with Adolescent and Adult Inpatients and with the Intensive Outpatient Programs in Mental Health and Chemical Dependency, offering individual and group therapy.

As a result of her extensive training and life experiences, she specializes in the treatment of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder), anxiety, depression, Bipolar Disorder, Trichotillomania (hair-pulling) and Dermatillomania (skin-picking), sexual addiction, parenting skills, communication skills, infertility and adoption. Roberta has been trained in EMDR and uses it to treat past trauma.

Roberta is the past president of the National Counseling Honor Society at the University of Phoenix. She is available for presentations and seminars. Roberta's other Masters degree is in Exercise Physiology and as a result she encourages well-balanced, healthy living.

Roberta has been living in Arizona for 25 years, has been married for 34 years to a Psychologist, Dr. Michael Zatkowsky, and they have two grown children.
