John Hinson, LPC / Program Director

John Hinson is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona who is currently working as a therapist with Family Strategies & Coaching in the Greater Phoenix Area. John has several years experience in leading both individual and group counseling.

John has an M.A. in both Counseling and Theological Studies from Reformed Theology Seminary in Orlando, Florida. He has worked at The Meadows in Wickenburg, Arizona and now at Family Strategies & Coaching where he works with individuals struggling with sexual addiction and men seeking recovery from any unwanted sexual feelings and compulsions.

John has special training in the areas of addiction, childhood trauma, family of origin dysfunction and unwanted or compulsive sexual behaviors. He is also trained to work with families of persons who struggle with addictions and various sexual issues.

He also has experience in presenting educational awareness workshops on issues relating to addiction and its impact on the family.

As part of the Family Strategies team, John is associated with a national network of therapists committed to helping addicts and their families through the recovery process. John is part of a staff of licensed therapists who specialize in sexual addiction recovery and other mental health issues.

John is readily available at his office for phone assessments and consultations to anyone in or outside of the Greater Phoenix Area. He can be reached during normal business hours at (480) 668-8301. Counseling from a Christian perspective, he is also empathetic to the LDS perspective as well. He counsels individuals, couples, youth and parent/child clients.
