Angie Whitman, LAC / Psychotherapist

Angie Whitman is a Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of Arizona and is a therapist at Family Strategies & Coaching. Angie received a Master’s in Counseling from Ottawa University, a Bachelor’s in Business Marketing from Arizona State University, and an Associate’s degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University-Idaho. Angie has extensive training in working with individuals with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Trauma, Codependency, Anxiety and Depression, and Addiction. Angie currently offers counseling to individuals, couples, and in group settings.

Angie completed her internship with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the Mesa Vet Center in Mesa, Arizona. Angie worked extensively with Combat Veterans and their families. Her expertise was in Trauma, PTSD, and Sexual Trauma. Angie has training and pending certification in Cognitive Processing Therapy which is successful in treating clients with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Trauma. Her background included individual, couples, and group counseling. She conducted psycho-educational groups on topics such as Anger, Denial, Addiction, Grief, and Trauma.

Angie currently works with a team of therapists with the LifeSTAR program. LifeSTAR is a licensed program at Family Strategies & Coaching helping those seeking treatment for pornography addiction, sexual compulsivity, and codependency.
